Restroom Inspiration

Hey Ladies,

I need your help on a search for inspiration!

Are you girls doing anything special for the ladies / gents room at your venue?

I am thinking of having a customized sign at the door that would coordinate with my wedding theme, or perhaps have an elegant basket with some basic products, first aid party kit (for those who like to drink a bit much) … something like that.

A while ago I saw I really cute one online but just can’t find it anymore.

If you know of a website, or if you have any pictures that you can send me that would give me some insight, please let me know!!!

White Inspiration

I love colors!! I love how they mix together creating beautiful, gorgeous combinations.

My wedding colors? No idea yet… The more I look around, the more complicated it gets. I want them all.

One thing I know for sure; No matter what color I come up with for my wedding theme, for my ceremony I would love to have everything simply white!
Simple, pure, peaceful, beautiful: WHITE.

Few days ago I posted about pomanders, which I am strongly considering decorating my aisles with. Then I’ve found the picture below, which is nothing more than "white pomanders". I am so in love with them!!

Sweet Wine

I know I’ve been away for the last couple of days, but I have a very good excuse for that: I was on a five days road trip with my FH visiting family.

We left on Wed. to North Carolina for two nights, then we spent two other nights in Virginia and on the way back home, a quick four hours tour in DC. How fun….

One of the highlights of the trip was a vineyard / winery we visited at Yadkin Valley - NC.

The whole combination of chilly weather, great wine and beautiful views made me wonder what a wedding in such location would look like.

If you have this theme in mind, here are some inspirations.
Where else would be more romantic than a vineyard for tying the knot?

A bit of Generosity

Last Thursday (Feb 12th), I had the opportunity to watch Rachael Ray’ special show about the Harris County Brides, which was first aired on Nov 21, 2008.

When Hurricane Ike hit south of Houston, it crushed the dreams of hundreds of brides. With the demages caused by the hurricane, the couples lost not only the venue where they had planned their big day, but also all the money they had invested.
The venue shut its doors and filled for bankruptcy.

In only one week team Rachael Ray pull off a wedding day miracle for 33 couples, turning the stadium Minute Maid Park into a Winter Wonderland.

After the loss of their wedding plans, the couples had the wedding of a lifetime offered by the show and generous companies that helped with the dresses, tux, wedding bands, decor, catering, live music, photography, makeup, fireworks, honeymoon…everything they could wish for.

If you didn’t have the chance to watch, the videos are available on Rachael Ray’s website. It is worth to take a look at it. http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/view/675/

Will you be my groomsman???

Every bride has her own special way to invite her bridesmaids.

We always think of something nice for our girls. A special card, a special message, a special gift...whatever will make them feel special for being part of our big day and plannings.

How about the groomsman? Why not send something special for them as well? After all, they will also be part of your wedding party.

Today, I've found out two very interesting things for these guys.
The first finding that I would like to share with all of you, are these really cute cards that your fiancee (or yourself) can send them to make an "official invitation".

Also, If you want to make sure they know what their responsiblities really are, you might want to send attached to the "groomsman invitation" this website, which was my second finding of the day: The Groom's Guide.
This site explains what it takes to be a best man or a groomsman.
Fun !

Picture of the Week - I

Among all of my findings during each week, while, looking for beautiful things around the internet, I come across a lot of interesting things.
Starting today, every Friday I will be sharing my favorite Picture of the Week.

This week’s picture is a program presentation that I’ve seen on Martha Stewart Wedding.

What a nice idea to have your program placed inside an envelope and then have the envelopes hanging from satin ribbons. For the final special touch you can place a flower of your preference into the bow.

Simple and original.

Pomanders !

Decorating a church usually includes decorations for the pew, aisle decorations, altar decorations, church entry decoration and church door decorations. How many dozens and dozens of flowers would it take to decorate every spot??
Instead of having high and huge flower decors, I’ve always thought that a simple and beautiful decoration would add a sense of calm and freshness all around. I just never got the final decision of which flower to use…
I am really starting to love the idea of having pomanders line the aisle for the ceremony. Pomanders can be very attractive to an entryway and it is also an alternative for the flower girl instead of the traditional bouquet or flower basket.
Here are some pomander that were used for a ceremony decoration that caught my attention lately.
